The Board of Directors shall be the governing body between the Annual Senate meetings, except in matters which exceed Association's budget. The Board of Directors shall have the power to conduct the business of the Association when the Senate is not in session.
Board Members
The elected officers of the Board of Directors shall be the President, Vice President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, two (2) Member-at-Large positions, and one (1) Board Post. The Advisory Board, Parliamentarian, Historian, and Assistant Secretary, Pre-Alumni Council President, LUNAA Executive Director, and University Representative are considered to be ex-officio members of the Board.
Positions Terms
The office of President is for a two-year term.
The office of President-Elect is elected for a one-year term.
The office of Vice President are elected for a two-year term and may serve up to two (2) consecutive terms.
The offices of treasurer and secretary are elected for a two-year term and may each serve up to three (3) consecutive terms.
Requirements
Qualifications for Office After December 1, 1968, no member shall be eligible to hold the office of President, Vice President, or one of the two (2) elected Board Post who has not been an active member of the Association for two (2) consecutive years. This rule does not apply to the secretary, treasurer.
Nominations for Board positions are made at the Annual Senate Meeting.
