PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Salutations fellow Alumni:     

Wow!! Look at us Alumni!! We are strong, resilient, and here!!! We are 100 years old!!!! One Hundred years of supporting Alumni, University and Students!!! Bravo!!! I am proud to be a LION!!! There will be a celebration event or two during homecoming.  I want to thank you for all your support as we know 2022 did not start good for me at all.  Thank you again for your love, prayers, and gifts. I miss my young Lion every day, but I am okay as okay can be.

On September 3rd, LUNAA once again hosted a tailgate for the first home football game against Oklahoma Panhandle State. The food was catered by a Langston graduate. Both alum and current students visited the tent and enjoyed the food. Information was shared with how to become a member of LUNAA. It was a great event. I hope it is a tradition that continues in the next administration.

Alumni as we prepare to gather for homecoming, there are several events planned for Alumni. LUNAA and Alumni Affairs are trying to make sure Alumni feel very engage during Homecoming.  If you have not gotten your ticket for the Gala, I am sorry to inform you it is sold out. Nominations

Nominations are open for the following Board of Director’s Positions: President-Elect and Oklahoma Board Post. Please visit www.lunaa.org to see the requirements of each office. If you are interested in any position, please complete the form. We will also open the floor for nominations at our Senate Meeting which takes place at Langston University – Oklahoma City, on October 21, 2022. Please check your email for more information. Please note, only our senate delegates can nominate from the floor.  

This year Senate will be a hybrid with in-person and zoom.

Fundraising

LUNAA, Inc. will kick off Homecoming Week with our 2^nd Annual Virtual 5K: Back in Stride Again. Join us from October 15th through 23rd, 2022. You can run or walk at any time and any place. Register at www.lunaa.org. The cost is $25.00. 

Our other fundraiser is the HundredX Campaign, where you complete surveys during a certain time.  This fundraiser will benefit all chapters, please support.

The ALL SCHOOL REUNION will happen in Atlanta in 2023.
